I will be reaching my fortieth birthday soon and have been airbrushing on and off since I was a teenager. I’ve been influenced by many great artists but always preferred the style and versatility of the airbrush. I get so much pleasure from art, not just creating it but looking at how others develop styles and forms. If I had the choice of what to paint every day I would say portraits without a doubt. People, animals, whatever, creating an expression and watching as they come to life on the canvas in front of you is what gives me the greatest pleasure. I’ve been trying to define my style for some time but like most artists I have never fully finished a piece or been fully happy with it. I try not to get too “heavy” about my work, I try to be as free as I can and let my feeling flow out the end of the airbrush and on to the canvas. Sometimes it stutters and splats a bit like what paint does but when it happens and you lose yourself, there is no better place to be! - Gordon
